Tom Bair and Ovid Jacob at the Cyborganic Cyber Seder

Thursday, April 4 , 1996

Shalom. Salaam. Shanti. Peace.

Tonight I was a guest at the Cyborganic Cyber Seder with 34 Jewish and not so Jewish cooks in attendence. This happy, nurturing event was hosted by Axil Comras who said:

"The moon is full. The season of the Passover is upon us. As we say in the Seder: "Let all who are hungry come and eat." And boy did we eat!

The Menu tonight : Charoses, chremslach, matzo ball soup, matzos, more matzos, still more matzos, roast chicken, gefilte fish, macaroons, magic Maui Yams, noodle, horseradish, matzos, humus , herselvis, potato kugel, carrot-zucchini kugel, matzo kugle, fresh fruit, nuts, deserts and wine.

Passover is a time to ask questions, a time to put ourselves into the story, a time to rededicate our allegiance to freedom. Indeed, it is a time to ponder the fate of the world. We were slaves in Egypt; and now we are free. But slavery of all kinds still exists throughout the world. What are we going to do about it?"

All guests read the story of Passover from a contemporary Haggadaha.

Shalom. Salaam. Shanti. Peace.
